COVID-19 IMMUNISATION TASK FORCE (CITF)
The establishment of the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) was based on the decision made during Cabinet Meeting dated 20 January 2021. It is to ensure vaccines’ distribution is done flawlessly.
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) is mandated to manage the implementation of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) from non-health services aspects, especially issues related to logistics and coordination involving states and government agencies.
The Health Ministry on the other hand will be focusing on matters related to health services in dealing with the spread of COVID-19.
In performing that function, the Science, Technology and Innovation Minister has been appointed as the Coordinating Minister for the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme. He will also lead the COVID-19 Immunisation Special Task Force (CITF) under the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to COVID-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
JOB SCOPE
CITF acts as the coordinating committee, monitoring framework and overall strategy to support the implementation of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme.
The job scopes for this committee includes:
a)

To plan, implement and monitor the supply and distribution of vaccines, vaccination enrollment, preparation of Vaccine Storage Centres and Vaccination Centres, reporting of vaccination KPIs as well as risk management throughout the implementation of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme

Appoint and mobilise members/experts/consultants from the Government or the private sector to implement acts as well as determining allocation sources for tasks implementation

c)
|
Provide necessary solutions and interventions in addressing key issues and challenges in the implementation stage; and

d)
|
Responsible for periodically reporting the progress of each working unit under the CITF at the special National Security Council meeting.
